My name is Hanna Behr, and I love attending cultural events, bringing them to life as a project manager or creative producer, and placing a special focus on accessibility. I advocate for diversity in the arts and cultural sector, as well as for professional training and continuing education opportunities in the artistic field for people with and without disabilities.

I work independently as a project manager, festival and artist manager, and dance educator in the field of independent performing arts. My vision is for inclusive art and culture to take center stage, to be established, and to be recognized.

Before working in the independent scene, I spent several years at SuperRTL and in editorial content at meinestadt.de. I studied Intermedia (BA) in Cologne and Thessaloniki, and “Culture, Aesthetics, Media” (Master of Arts) in Düsseldorf and Cologne.

My superpower is realizing outstanding cultural events, workshops, projects, and more, while creating an atmosphere in which everyone feels safe and seen.

In my work as a manager, I am highly organized and maintain an overview in all situations.

I am convinced that diversity—both on stage and in the audience—enriches everyone and enables us to live in an extraordinary world. That is why, as a project manager, I am particularly committed to professional-level projects involving so-called minorities and people with diverse bodies.

Hanna Behr works as an event and project manager in the field of independent performing arts, as well as a festival and artist manager.

For several years, she has also worked as a yoga teacher and dance educator with children and adults.

Mixed-abled work in dance and theater is a key aspect of her practice. Hanna Behr is active in inclusive workshops and professional training programs at universities and cultural institutions. These include, among others, Schauspiel Köln, Theater Oberhausen, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Theater Dortmund, the University of Music and Dance Cologne, and Folkwang University of the Arts.

Behr studied Intermedia at the University of Cologne (BA) and Culture, Aesthetics, Media at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (MA). During her studies, she already worked for cultural festivals and various production companies and engaged with the practice of contemporary art. She wrote her master’s thesis on inclusive ensembles in theater and dance, engaging intensively with mixed-abled art forms as well as their methods and potential for the (public) cultural sector.

Behr works freelance as a project manager in the independent performing arts sector, including for projects of the Sommerblut Cultural Festival, for the Cologne-based association Inklusion und Kultur e.V., and as artist manager for the artist Lucy Wilke, who performs, among others, at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Since 2022, she has been working with DIN A 13 tanzcompany in Cologne, a mixed-abled dance company with dancers with and without physical disabilities. As project manager of the professional training program M.A.D.E. (Mixed Abled Dance Education), she organizes and supports workshops in the field of mixed ability at various institutions such as universities and dance centers across Germany.

She also works for the dance company as project manager for the professionalization program UNIque@dance and serves as production manager for DIN A 13 tanzcompany, where she is responsible for organizing and implementing national cooperation projects.

Behr works with BühnenKunstSalon Köln and, in cooperation with Schauspiel Köln, develops and delivers a professional training program for acting talents with disabilities.
